Swarovski launches limited edition Erika & Eliot Around the World pieces
Swarovski has launched the limited edition Erika & Eliot Around the World collection, on the back of the success of the Erika & Eliot pendants.
Nathalie Colin, creative director at Swarovski, designed the well-received Erika & Eliot pendants for the Spring/Summer 2008 collection. The popularity of the pieces has led to the launch of the Erika & Eliot Around the World collection, at the beginning of March.
The collection comprises 13 Swarovski pendants, which pay homage to 13 countries. The Erika and Eliot characters display the colors of the Italian, German, American, Swiss, Austrian, and Korean flags, and are adorned by characteristic symbols such as the French beret, the Dutch tulip, the Russian babushka, the English guardsman’s bearskin cap, a Chinese festival costume, or a carnival themed design from Brazil.
The pendants are created in epoxy and Pointiage, a technique for applying crystals by hand.
