The announcement that Swiss watch brand’s partnership with the Formula 1 team would be extended to include McLaren Automotive was made during the Geneva Motor Show, which took place at the Palexpo in Geneva from March 7–17.
The move comes as part of a management rejig following the departure of Jordi Constans from Louis Vuitton in December and Michael Burke’s move into his role
The Swiss watch brand took the top prize at this year’s Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie de Geneve, which took place last week.
The honorary chairman of Tag Heuer visited Laing the Jeweller in Edinburgh to officially launch the brand in the new Laing Watch Gallery with a one-off timepiece, on August 9.
The Swiss brand says that this is the first ever tourbillon on a 1/100th of a second chronograph.
The luxury products group released its full year results yesterday, which showed that its watches and jewellery business had recorded organic revenue growth of 23% in 2011.
