The Jewellery Show to sponsor Designer of the Year at UKJA 2012

The Jewellery Show has confirmed that it will once again sponsor the Jewellery Designer of the Year category at Retail Jeweller’s UK Jewellery Awards 2012.

The award, which was won in 2011 by Tomasz Donocik, is extremely hotly contested and has helped both finalists and winners heighten their profile within the industry and beyond.

The Jewellery Show, which is itself a platform for many designers, is putting its support behind the category for 2012.

Event director Julie Driscoll said: “The Jewellery Show London and The Jewellery Show Birmingham are proud to sponsor the Designer of the Year Award. The Jewellery Show is committed to launching and supporting jewellery designers and showcasing their talent is key to all that we do.”

Newly launched event, The Jewellery Show London, will take place this June at Somerset House, from, June 12 to 13 and The Jewellery Show Birmingham 2013, will take place at the NEC from February 3 to 7.

The shortlist for the UKJA 2012 will be announced next Wednesday April 4 at an invite-only party at 11 Cavendish Square in London.

The winners will be announced at a glamorous event Grosvenor House Hotel, London, on July 12, 2012.
