IJL Boulevard Runway give jewellery full airing

Giving International Jewellery London (IJL) an extra fashion fix, the Boulevard catwalk is traversed twice-daily by models in black leotards and gold masks giving an array of jewellery time in the spotlight.

The catwalk runs the entire length of the Boulevard - the central walkway of the Earls Court venue - and is sponsored by Aagaard. There are two of the high fashion walks taking place daily and, set to emotive music and effectively choreographed, they bring the stunning designs to life. Each show is a one-off in order to generate maximum interest.

Event co-director Syreeta Tranfield said: “IJL launched the theatre of jewellery back in the 90’s and we felt that it was time to bring it back to reflect the extraordinary creativity and diversity of quality design at the show. It also provides a strong visual heartbeat to the show which will enhance the visitor experience.”

The Runway themes range from All that Glitters is Gold and Every Cloud has a Silver Lining to The Bridal Collection, Watches - A Moment in Time and Modern Vintage. There is also a sponsored catwalk show by the Houlden Group called ‘Houlden Hi-Lights’.
