Keys, tassels and gold feature at IJL

Keys, tassels and lots of gold were the top trends spotted at IJL yesterday.

London Road went with black diamond tassels and had added more gold pieces into the range, despite the rising price of the yellow metal.

“Because of all the press gold is getting at the moment, the customers know what its value is and are investing in it,” said Ed Adams, managing director of the brand. Adams also said he had found that although customers are buying less, they are upscaling on their purchases rather than opting for cheaper materials.

Muru has also added gold pieces to its predominantly silver collection and its director Phil Barnes said that the new additions had had a positive response from buyers at the show.

Tassels were in in evidence in leather and silver at Ti Sento, while Clogau and Muru had key pendants in their collections.
