BJA launches silver competition to celebrate its 125th anniversary

The competition, which is sponsored by The Jewellery Show at Spring Fair and Cookson Precious Metals, is to create a commemorative silver desk accessory.

Entries, which need to be submitted by January 31, will be judged by the industry through the BJA’s website and on its stand at The Jewellery Show, where the shortlisted designs will be displayed.

The winning design will become part of the BJA silver collection and there will be £500 towards production costs. Cookson Metal will donate 1/2 a kilo of metal in sheet or wire form and the winner will also receive £750 towards the cost of a stand at either The Jewellery Show London 2012, Salon at Autumn Fair Birmingham or The Jewellery Show 2013.

The competition is only open to those designers and companies who are registered and operating within the UK and all submissions must not have been marketed prior to September 2011.
