Catherine Middleton inspires latest Domino range
Jewellery brand Domino will debut its trend-led Diamond Ring Mount (DRM) collection at trade show International Jewellery London (IJL) this September, and has drawn on a range of inspirations including the style of ring worn by the Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine Middleton.
The company has said that the collection was inspired by four key trends, “champagne, vintage, bubbles and blooms”. The collection was created in-house and Domino hopes it will help stockists “stand apart from their competitors”.
The four macro-trends that underpin the range are “champagne accents, classic vintage, diamond bubbles and diamonds in bloom”.
The white classic vintage trend pays homage to 1950s style icons such as Elizabeth Taylor, the Art Deco designs of the 1930s, and the regal, classical style of the Royal Engagement ring that Prince William presented to the Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine Middleton.
The Diamond Bubbles inspiration is meant to be about fun and uses stones as a palette, playing with size and arrangement. Stacking rings, floral designs and organic shapes form part of the Diamonds in Bloom trend.
Speaking about the new collection, Domino sales director Andrew Sollitt said: “We know how important it is for our customers to keep their core product fresh and to have some exciting new designs to tempt their customers and this is why we have gone to such pains to create this collection. DRM offers 80 exciting products in 18ct white, yellow or rose gold across 45 different styles. It is definitely different and simply cannot be bought elsewhere.”
In addition to the macro trends, the DRM collection also incorporates ten individual stories, which include Pirouette, Everlasting Love, Fountain, Wish, Zen, Gondola, Deco, Poppy and Maroc.
Sollitt said: “Whatever you’re looking for, classic or contemporary, half eternities or lifestyle rings, we have something to appeal to all tastes and with stone settings from 0.10ct to 7ct, all price points as well. We believe that retailers will find these unique designs a really refreshing and highly commercial choice.”
All designs in the collection can be supplied set with a choice of either HSI or GVS diamonds, or unset. Domino also offers an in-house setting service for customers wishing to have designs set with their own stones.
The entire DRM Collection is now on show in Domino’s permanent showroom ‘The Creative Suite’ in Birmingham and from its website. It will also feature on the company’s Stand (No G131) at IJL in September.
