Dower & Hall design feathers for Kasabian boxset

The British brand has created four pewter feathers as part of a limited edition set, which has been created for the band’s fourth album Velociraptor!

The four feathers each have a different design and have been finished with a special plating technique to give them a black colour. They have been created for the boxset, which goes on sale on January 16 and is limited to 1,000 copies worldwide, as physical representation of the artwork designs on the singles’ covers.

“Making the impossible a reality is what we thrive upon,” said Dan Dower, the brand’s design director. “When Sony records approached us on behalf of Kasabian to create four styles of realistic feathers in metal, we were extremely excited by the chance. Through the seamless blend of the highest technology and master hand-craft skills we have been able to create four exquisite pieces. They are detailed and delicate as a feather, yet strong and durable as metal. Being able to work alongside such a world renowned band of excellence, we know is a once in a life time opportunity, but we hope it isn’t the last.”

The boxset will retail at £180 and, along with the Dower & Hall feathers, will contain Velociraptor! on CD and double 10” vinyl, a live DVD of the 747 gig and with ‘behind-the-scenes’ extras. Also in the set is a large poster and a hard-back sketchbook showcasing the lyrics, illustrations and previously-unseen photographs.
