Garrard to sponsor exhibition of The Queen's portraits at the V&A

The British jewellery institution willl sponsor the showcase of highlights of Cecil Beaton’s pictures of Her Majesty, which will be held to celebrate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

The exhibition will explore the relationship with Queen Elizabeth II, who was a teenager when she first sat for Beaton. He subsequently photographed her over the next three decades on many significant occasions, including at her Coronation.

There will be nearly 100 portraits on display from wartime photographs of the Princess with her family to pictures of The Queen with her own young children.

In three of those photographs, The Queen is wearing Garrard jewellery.

The exhibition will run from February 8 to April 22.
