Hugh Rice Pandora store named best for customer service

Hugh Rice’s Harrogate Pandora concept store has been named as the top Pandora store for customer service, by the brand’s own mystery-shopping surveys.

The jewellery brand conducts regular independent mystery shopping surveys to monitor performance in stores, and jewellery chain Hugh Rice’s Harrogate store has been named as the world’s best store for customer service.

Lizzie Carr, manager at the Harrogate Pandora branch, said: “The customer service survey is conducted across each of the 1,600 Pandora stores across the world, so we’re absolutely thrilled that our store came out on top. We pride ourselves on our exceptional product knowledge. We also love the Pandora range and I think this is evident in the welcoming, personal service we provide.”

The Pandora side of the Hugh Rice business has seen huge growth in the last two years and the retailer now operates Pandora stores in Meadowhall, Hull, Leads, Knightsbridge and Harrogate. The business now has an annual turnover in excess of £13m and year-on-year profits are up by 80%.

Mike Rice, managing director of Hugh Rice Jewellers, said: “We’re delighted with this result. Through employee training and development, we strive to ensure that all customers receive nothing better than a first-class service no matter which of our stores they visit. This is a brilliant achievement, especially when our stores were head-to-head with stores across the rest of the world.”
