IJL announces seminar programme
International Jewellery London (IJL) has announced a stellar seminar line-up for this September’s trade show, featuring talks by jeweller Jeremy Hoye, etailer Elizabeth Galton, and Stephen Webster on The Great Debate panel.
This year’s show will run from September 4 to 7 at Earls Court 2 in London, and will feature seminars with key industry people. Confirmed names include Hoye, who will discuss unique collaborations and his latest venture, and Galton, who will speak about luxury in the digital age. Celebrity favourite jeweller Stephen Webster has been confirmed to join the Great Debate panel, hosted by the Birmingham Assay Office, to talk about Fairtrade and Fairmined gold.
The shop-in-shop concept will be debated and a panel featuring members of the Goldsmiths’ Company will identify the latest developments in materials, processes, training and hallmarking. They will also have a stand where they will hold demonstrations on assaying and hallmarking, including the testing of jewellery items ‘live’. Diamond specialist Martin Rapaport will also reveal his annual report at IJL on the state of the diamond industry. Attendees will also benefit from a snapshot of the Mary Portas Guide to Successful Retailing.
Business transformation company Insight with Passion will provide a Retail Theatre seminar, talking about how to enhance the in-store experience. F Hinds will also reveal the outcome of the High Street by Design competition launched last year.
