IJL draws new exhibitors and hints at trends

Trade show International Jewellery London (IJL) has announced a raft of new exhibitors and hinted at some of the key trends to watch out for this year.

This September’s show will play host to new fine jewellery exhibitors such as Vogue Diamond, and will launch new brands including Vendorafa. This Italian brand specialises in 18ct gold and will be found on the Advalorem stand. US jewellery designer Stuart Moore will be at the Henrich & Denzel stand in the fine jewellery area to mark his 50th year in the jewellery business by introducing his work, including engagement and wedding rings, to European retailers.

This year the silver area has attracted new names including American designer Raymond Hak, who will exhibit his design-led textured silver jewellery featuring high quality diamonds. Distributor Unique Jewelry, also to be found in the silver section, will be bringing affordable and on-trend brand Festina watches to IJL for the first time.

Daisy Knights is to attend for the first time as a fully-fledged exhibitor, having launched as a Bright Young Gem in 2009 and KickStarter in 2010, and will unveil her Wise range. She joins leading British designers such as Shaun Leane, William Cheshire and Malcolm Morris.

Jewellery brand and X Factor favourite Kleshna will launch two new collections, including the Art Nouveau inspired Twisted Chain collection, which is a new take on the vintage trend. Hinting at the key trends to watch out for at the show a spokesperson for IJL said: “Pearls are another trend to be seen at the show”, advising attendees not to miss the Jersey Pearl, London Pearl and the Euro Pearls stands.

The spokesperson said: “These are just a couple of the key trends to be seen, as IJL is definitely the prime opportunity to find out which jewellery trends will be big in coming seasons.”

The show will run from September 4 to 7, 2011, and will take place at Earls Court 2 in London.
