Retail Jeweller announces the Inspiring Independents 2011

Retail Jeweller announced the top 50 independent jewellery and watch retailers of 2011 at IJL on September 4.

The supplement features the cream of UK and Irish retailing, as voted for by the industry themselves. The Inspiring Independents initiative was launched last year as a top 30 and was increased to 50 this year to reflect the volume of votes and the amazing talent in the industry.

The competition was so fierce that this year there were two winners, Boodles and EC One, who achieved equal votes from their peers.

Speaking about the list, Retail Jeweller editor Laura McCreddie said: “It is amazing to see the industry getting behind this initiative. We had a record number of votes this year and because it is a peer-voted it really means a lot to those who make the list.”

The supplement will go out with the October issue of the magazine and feature in segments online over the coming weeks.
