London Jewellery Week goes nationwide

The previously capital-based initiative is looking to expand across the UK as part of the launch of its new parent company Jewellery Week Ltd

London Jewellery Week will be just one part of a number of initiatives to promote jewellery sales and design talent across the country. As part of its expansion plans, Jewellery Week will launch a jewellery shop window competition, which will be open to independents, departments stores and multiples. This is a response to Mary Portas’s call to boost the British retail scene and full details will be unveiled at an official press launch in March.

Speaking about the increased scope for Jewellery Week, director of Jewellery Week Ltd, Della Tinsley said: “We look forward to hearing from those of you who would like to be involved in Jewellery Week 2012, Our expanded team is creative, dynamic and highly skilled, and is committed to the evolution of Jewellery Week into its ‘next incarnation’.”

Also new for 2012 will be a trade show, Jewellery Show London, which will be organised by The Jewellery Show and will run for two days, from June 12-13, at Somerset House, where Treasure, the design showcase, will also be located.
