Maurice Lacroix launches blogger competition called The French Job to tie into the launch of the Pontos S

The luxury Swiss watch brand is looking for a team of four bloggers to travel with them to the Côte d’Azur to witness the attempt to break the freediving world record.

Maurice Lacroix is looking for people to spend two weeks in June following and documenting diver Sebastien Murat’s attempt to freedive 703ft below sea level, which will require him to spend more than eight minutes under water without oxygen.

The chosen bloggers will cover this attempt in English, German, Russian and Chinese. The brand is also looking for a video-blogger, a Wordpress expert, a personal assistant and a pool boy to report on Seb’s mission internationally.

This event will also tie into the launch of the brand’s first ever sports watch, the Pontos S. The watch, which will be available in August, will be waterproof to 200 metres and will feature a self-turning mechanism on the bezel, which means it can’t be knocked when diving.

The competition is open to anyone who is 20 years old and over, holds a valid passport and is suitably qualified for the position. Details can be found on the brand’s Facebook page or on The French Job website (The-french-job.com)
