Online manager joins Laings of Glasgow

The Scottish retailer has recruited Lauren Anderson in order to increase its web presence

Laings of Glasgow, which owns three stores in the city’s Argyll Arcade – one of which trades under the name of Robert Stewart – has expanded rapidly over the past year and is now looking to grow its retail and social media presence.

Speaking about the appointment Wendy Laing, director at Laings of Glasgow, said:  “Lauren has a wealth of experience on both the retail and wholesale sides of the jewellery industry so we are delighted to have attracted and secured someone of her calibre and experience.”

Anderson began her career as a jewellery buyer for designer retailer Cruise. She has also helpd positions as head of design at Carrick Jewellery, where she also played an instrumental role in creating its retail jewellery boutique Jodie’s. She has also worked as marketing and product development at PKennedy.

“As Laings’ online manager I will be undertaking the task of improving and building on Laings’ online presence as a reputable jeweller, not just in Scotland but internationally,” said Anderson. “I have high hopes for where we can take the business online and I am excited about realising the untapped potential of the brand.”
