Matthew Williamson designs Valentine’s jewellery 29 Jan 2009 | View Readers CommentsBritish fashion designer Matthew Williamson has created some limited-edition Valentine’s Day jewellery. The pieces will be sold exclusively at the designers Bruton Street store in London.
The designer, who worked for Accessorize before setting up his own label, has created a heart-shaped jewel-encrusted brooch and matching necklace, which will retail for £95 and £295. A spokesperson for Matthew Williamson there are no plans as yet to sell the jewellery wholesale, however they said that Matthew Williamson is planning to create more jewellery in the future.
The Valentine’s jewellery collection follows a series of Christmas brooches that Matthew Williamson created. A spokesperson at Matthew Williamson said: “For a lot of our outerwear we add brooches, and everyone was asking about them, so at Christmas we decided to create a collection. It sold so well that we thought we would create a Valentine’s brooch.”
