Lumbers commissions unique Breitling display 12 Feb 2009 | View Readers CommentsLeicester jewellery retailer Lumbers has commissioned a unique display to showcase its Breitling watches. The bespoke display, created by interior fittings manufacturer Birley Manufacturing, is a three-sided steel frame in a glass structure with graphics, backlighting and inset displays within the framework.
Birley Manufacturing described the Breitling display case as innovative, and said that it was a manufacturing first for the company. Birley Manufacturing managing director Steve English said: "The design and manufacturing process required for this project demonstrates the high degree of bespoke and specialist interior fittings which Birley can offer. The new display replaced a more traditional structure and was installed over a weekend."
Lumbers is a third-generation family business and is the only remaining family owned jeweller in Leicester. Birley Manufacturing has 133 years' experience in developing bespoke interior solutions for the retail industry.
