Storm to auction off vintage watches for charity 09 Apr 2009 | View Readers Comments By Rachael TaylorLondon watch brand Storm is hoping to raise more than £1,000 for charity with its annual online auction. Storm will put two vintage watches, worth about £500 each, under the virtual gavel between May 11 and May 20 at stormwatches.com.
Storm will auction off a never-before-seen 1997 pink and gold ladies Baby Bubble watch and a limited-edition 1994 Turbine watch with flip-up lid cover. Money raised by the auction will go to a children’s charity of the winning bidder’s choice.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Storm has run an online charity auction. Last year, the event raised more than £1,000.
