Fei Liu wins Harper's Bazaar China design award

British designer Fei Liu has won consumer magazine Harper’s Bazaar China’s Designer of the Year award.

In 2010, Liu was selected as one of the top five designers in China by the magazine and this year he faced fierce competition for the accolade, which was presented at an event in Beijing.

Liu said: “I am absolutely delighted to have won this award, it means a great deal to be recognised for my work in my home country. There are so many wonderfully talented designers that I feel truly honoured to have been awarded. I feel incredibly lucky to be a designer at this exciting time, which sees the growing importance of the Chinese market.”

Last year Liu invited selected British jewellery designers to showcase at his gallery in the Shin Kong Place department store in Beijing in collaboration with British Jewellery and Giftware International (BJGI), the British Jewellers’ Association and UK Trade & Investment.
