Fable Trading brings Buddha to Buddha to UK

Dutch jewellery brand Buddha to Buddha is being introduced in to the UK by distributor Fable Trading.

The brand, which is known for its bold silver bracelets, will make its debut at The Jewellery Show at Spring Fair, which is being held in Birmingham’s NEC in February 2012.

Buddha to Buddha was founded and designed by Dutch entrepreneur Batul Loomans, who was inspired to create the jewellery following a deep conversation session known as Buddha to Buddha, during a mediation holiday in India in 1997.

During his 1997 trip to the Far East, Loomans’ bracelet design, which he had sketched in India, was brought to life by craftsmen from the Indonesian island of Bali and on his return to Amsterdam his original creation was displayed in a prestigious fashion store.

The collection has grown to include more than a hundred different types of bracelets, rings, earrings and necklaces, all individual handmade designs crafted in sterling silver by Balinese artisans. Some pieces also feature semi-precious stones and leather and all are individually hallmarked in compliance with EU regulations. Prices range from £50 to £1,500.

Fable Trading managing director Sarah Morfoot said: “Buddha to Buddha is an outstanding, contemporary brand for the effortlessly cool.”
