DM London acquires The Watch Gallery and The Watch Hut

UK independent specialist watch retailer DM London has acquired both The Watch Gallery and The Watch Hut and their respective websites.

The company will divide its business into luxury and designer watches, with all the luxury watch business to be marketed under The Watch Gallery brand and all designer watch business under The Watch Hut. The changeover from the current trading name, Time², will take effect within three months.

The Watch Gallery store in Fulham Road will continue to operate as a luxury watch venue and the website, thewatchgallery.com, will be merged with DM London’s current site TIME2.co.uk, during March 2012 to create a destination for online luxury watch retail.

The Watch Hut, thewatchhut.co.uk, a leading independent designer watch website in the UK, will be combined the resources of DM London to continue its growth.

The statement from DM London said that the acquisitions reflect current market trends and the increasing power of ecommerce in watch retail, both luxury and designer. DM London has predicted annual group turnover for 2012 in excess of £50 million.
