Harry Winston to take part in Only Watch
American watch and jewellery brand Harry Winston has produced an exclusive timepiece for the charity auction Only Watch, which will be held on September 22 and raise money for research into muscular dystrophy.
The auction will feature timepieces by 40 of the greatest watch brands. Harry Winston has taken part in the auction since its inception in 2005 and has developed and produced the Harry Winston Only Watch 2011 Midnight GMT Tourbillion for the fourth edition, which is organised by the Monaco Association against Muscular Dystrophy under the patronage of SH Prince Albert II. The event will be orchestrated by the horological auctioneers Antiquorum.
The Harry Winston timepiece is topped by a bezel discreetly bearing the three arches of the brand’s New York salon and the case is crafted in platinum exclusively for the exhibition. The 45mm case holds a mechanical bidirectional automatic movement, has a 110-hour power reserve, a small seconds display at the six o’clock and a day and night indication at 9 o’clock.
The 11 o’clock aperture indicates the cities representing the second time zone, including Monaco in tribute to the Only Watch event.
The company is committed to philanthropic efforts worldwide and makes a yearly donation through the Harry Winston Foundation of at least 5% of the company’s pre-tax profits to support education worldwide.
