Unfortunately I didn’t manage to hook up with Vogue Portugal but did a lot of style watching and checking out the jewellery… The traditional jewellery is all 18ct yellow gold and pretty much all filigree based – for me this doesn’t really suit my tastes as I have always found filigree to feel slightly unsubstantial on its own. This was the style of jewellery I mainly saw in Lisbon, the capital, with no gems set into it either – however, after going back to my family’s town up north ...

So I am finally in Lisbon – I love this place, all the old tiled buildings and cake shop – I think it was designed and made for me!Went to the old church/monastery yesterday have attached some shots here and was so inspiring with all the gothic ceiling details – I managed to take so many photos on the trusty i-Phone people began to stare – just call me David Bailey from now on…

As I file this last blog, I am smiling to myself at how the journey has come full circle…. I am currently sat in the VIP lounge at KL airport in Malaysia waiting for my connection to London. However, surprisingly I am not hitting the free booze… Iam calm, relaxed and serene!I have had the most amazing amazing time….
