Retail Jeweller is delighted to announce that it will once again be teaming up with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) to lead a specially selected delegation of buyers to the Hong Kong International Jewellery shows in March 2018.
Following on from the success of hosted buyer programmes run in 2017 and 2016, the HKTDC, together with Retail Jeweller, is now offering up to 30 individual companies the chance to attend the Hong Kong Diamond Gem & Pearl Show and the Hong Kong International Jewellery Shows in March.
Places are open to representatives from designers, brands and suppliers who may be interested in sourcing from the shows, as well as retailers.
There are 30 places on offer in total, although some of these have already been filled by those who expressed an early interest after this year’s event.
The Retail Jeweller delegation will be required to travel from London Heathrow on February 26, 2018, returning to the UK on March 5, 2018. Those who are selected to attend will be provided with one return economy class flight and five night’s accommodation in Hong Kong, enabling them to visit both shows.

If you didn’t visit the show in 2017, or you visited this year and spent over $50,000 at the show and can provide invoices, you will be eligible for full sponsorship (detailed above). Those who visited in 2017 and didn’t spend over $50,000 may still be eligible for part sponsorship although will have to cover the cost of their own flights.
Those wishing to apply cannot have been refused participation on a previous trip and must be willing to have their participation in the trip featured in an issue of Retail Jeweller.
Additionally, all applicants will be subject to a strict screening process by the HKTDC and their decision on eligibility is final.
Retail Jeweller editor Ruth Faulkner commented: “The two HKTDC Retail Jeweller hosted buyer programmes we have run so far have been extremely successful and provide excellent buying opportunities from a fantastic range of suppliers.
“We are delighted that the HKTDC has asked for our help in organising a further, larger delegation for 2018 and we are confident that this trip will be as successful as the previous two.”
Those interested in applying for the trip are asked to do so via email to Ruth.Faulkner@emap.com with Hong Kong Buyer Incentive Programme as the subject line, before Friday, October 6.
Participation is limited to one representative from each retailer. Candidates will be subject to eligibility screening by the HKTDC.
