Last chance to apply for Retail Jeweller’s buyer incentive trip to Hong Kong Jewellery Shows

Buyers from suppliers and retailers are reminded to register their interest in the 2020 Retail Jeweller x Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) trip to the International Jewellery shows in early March.

Next year will mark the fifth consecutive year that a delegation of buyers, hosted by the HKTDC and Retail Jeweller, will visit the Hong Kong Diamond Gem & Pearl Show and the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show.

Places are open to representatives from brands and suppliers, who may be interested in sourcing from the shows, as well as those who work for retailers.

Places are filling up fast and expressions of interest need to be received before Christmas, so applicants are encouraged to put their name forward as soon as possible.

The Retail Jeweller delegation will be required to travel from London Heathrow on March 2, 2020 returning to the UK on March 7, 2020 and those who are selected to attend will be provided with one return economy class flights and four night’s accommodation in Hong Kong, enabling them to visit both shows.

There is also an option to purchase an additional night’s stay in Hong Kong and fly back a day later, if you feel you would benefit from more time at the shows.

The trip is open to those who did not visit the shows this year (2019) and participants must be willing to have their participation in the trip featured in an issue of Retail Jeweller.

Those who did visit the shows as part of the 2019 delegation are welcome to return to the show as part of the 2020 delegation but, they must show invoices totalling $60,000 USD to be eligible for full sponsorship (flights and hotel) or $40,000 USD to be eligible for partial sponsorship (hotel accommodation only).

Additionally, all applicants will be subject to a strict screening process by the HKTDC and their decision on eligibility is final.

Those interested in applying for the trip are asked to do so via email to with Hong Kong Buyer Incentive Programme as the subject line before Friday December 20.

Participation is limited to one representative from each retailer, although there is a possibility to add other people from your business at an additional cost.

Candidates will be subject to eligibility screening by the HKTDC and its decision on inclusion on the trip is final.
