Les Georgettes and Amulette win CMJ awards

Jewellery brands Les Georgettes and Amulette both picked up awards this weekend at the Company of Master Jeweller’s (CMJ) trade event.

A selected panel of independent retailers within the CMJ who attended the buying group’s Spring Trade Event were asked to vote, and trophies were awarded to Amulette for Best Collection and Les Georgettes for Best Stand.

More than 140 CMJ-approved suppliers exhibited at the two-day trade event, which is open exclusively to CMJ retail members.

British designer brand Amulette, which exhibited in the NAJ (National Association of Jewellers) Designer Maker Area, specialises in personalised charm rings in silver and gold vermeil, with retail prices ranging from £20 to £600. Designer and founder of Amulette Lisa Harris said: “It was a really amazing moment. What makes it all the more wonderful is that the award was voted for by retailers.”

The Les Georgettes stand was praised for its clear merchandising and video telling the story of the French brand. On winning the award for Best Stand, sales director for Les Georgettes Mark Faulkner said: “We are absolutely delighted and look forward to continuing to support the CMJ, which continues to work with the premier retailers in the UK.”

Other brands shortlisted for the Best Collection award included Chalfen of London, Clogau, Remane and Tivon, while Bronzallure, Dollie Jewellery and Jolyon Marshall were also finalists for the Best Stand award.

The awards for Best Collection and Best Stand are presented at each of CMJ’s two trade events, open to all CMJ retail members and approved suppliers.

The next CMJ trade event will be held on August 6–7, 2017.
