Auction house Christie’s will exhibit highlights from its Magnificent Jewels collection in both London and New York this spring.
The auction, comprising approximately 250 jewels will take place on May 17 at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues. Ahead of the auction, highlights will tour to London from 10- 12 April. The jewels will then be exhibited in New York from 21- 25 April and from 5-8 May alongside the 20th Century Art preview before the collection returns to Geneva for the auction.
Key highlights from the Magnificent Jewels tour include a 92ct D Flawless heart-shaped diamond pendant, signed by Boehmer et Bassenge. The Maison de Haute Joaillerie, launched last year is named after 18th century Parisian jewellers, Charles Boehmer and Paul Bassenge.
Working exclusively with the Maison Boehmer et Bassange, only a few pieces are produced each year. Having sold the first jewels over the course of 2016, Christie’s will present two further pieces this spring in Geneva.
Other key pieces forming part of the Magnificent Jewels collection include La Légende, a diamond and cultured pearl necklace by Boehmer et Bassenge. According to the renowned auction house, it is the largest D Flawless heart shaped diamond ever to be offered at auction.
The La Vie Boheme diamond chandelier earrings also form part of the auction range. The asymmetrical pink diamond bow design each include a pear-shaped diamond suspended with a marquise-cut diamond weighing approximately 10.07 and 10.05ct.
A statement Burmese ruby and diamond ring and a Kashmir sapphire and diamond ring will also be on display as part of the Magnificent Jewels edit.
