A new digital signage solution for jewellers will be debuted at the forthcoming edition of International Jewellery London (IJL) next month.
Sussex-based MCS has historically provided its ultra-high definition (UHD 4K) OLED displays for use in the automotive industry and counts the likes of BMW, Aston Martin and Porsche among its clients.
However, after teaming-up with independent retailer Pressleys to add its screens to the businesses’ new Brighton store, as an alternative to fixed POS display, MCS is now hoping to expand its services to other jewellers and will be showcasing its digital signage at the forthcoming IJL trade event.
MCS aims to show the benefits of offering a digital signage system, allowing jewellers to increase traffic footfall and customer in store dwell times, create a versatile digital marketing experience, with various content options and save money on printing costs and time replacing fixed POS.
As such, MCS is responsible for all digital content systems at IJL 2017 and is partnering with LG Europe, who have provided all displays for the event.
Commenting on the use of the screens in his Pressleys Brighton flagship, managing director Jonathan Pressley said: ““It is the obvious natural evolution from the currently accepted norm of static signage graphics.
“It is simply a fantastic improvement on what in the 21st century are outdated ways of promoting products and we are proud to be at the forefront of challenging this. We care passionately about our customers’ in-store experience and so positive has been the effect that we will continue to digitise other elements of our promotional campaign across all three stores”
MCS will be available within the retail zone (K20) daily from 10am until 1pm and 2pm until 6pm throughout the show.
IJL takes place from September 3-5 at London’s Olympia.
