New BBC Two show calls for applications from jewellers

A new BBC Two television programme searching to find Britain’s next jeweller is calling on makers to enter and compete in the upcoming show.

The competition, produced by Twenty Twenty for BBC Two, is a six-part contest showcasing the skills of eight jewellers from all walks of life.

The show is looking for both amateurs and professionals to create designs made from gold, silver, diamonds and sapphires.

The series will be filmed in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter and each week, the chosen jewellers will battle it out to make real clients’ bespoke designs.

The challenges will explore the different styles and aesthetics across different types of jewellery, and some will be inspired by the world’s most famous jewellery pieces.

Applications to enter close on Friday 13 December 2019. To apply, visit
