UK Jewellery Awards shortlist revealed

The shortlist of individuals and companies nominated for the UK Jewellery Awards (UKJA) this year, has now been revealed.

In what was a record year for entries with over 400 received, the final shortlist sees 120 businesses and individuals spanning 20 categories incorporating everything from retail and design through to manufacturing and marketing.

The full shortlist can be viewed by clicking here.

Taking place on Wednesday July 3, at the Artillery Garden at the HAC in the heart of the City of London, the UKJA is this country’s longest-running and most prestigious awards event for the jewellery and watch trade, now in its 27th year.

Commenting on this year’s shortlist, Retail Jeweller editor Ruth Faulkner said: “It was fantastic to see such a diverse range of companies entering this year’s awards and the standard of entries was incredibly high meaning the editorial team had a very difficult job of deciding on the eventual shortlist.

“The shortlist this year is testament to how many successful businesses we have in this sector, despite what has been a challenging year for retail in general, and I look forward to celebrating with all of the finalists and winners on July 3.”

The final shortlist is now taken forward to the next stage of the process where an independent panel of industry experts anonymously judge the entries in a robust and fair judging process which has been honed and perfected over the last 27 years.

Retail Jeweller is delighted to welcome back Clogau as headline partner for the 2019 event, marking the brand’s sixth consecutive year of headline sponsorship of the event. Other sponsors already confirmed for the 2019 event include Citizen, the Company of Master Jewellers, Hockley Mint, International Jewellery London, Jewellery & Watch, TH March and Uno de 50.

Last year’s awards attracted almost 700 guests, making it the biggest night in the industry’s calendar and this number looks set to rise for the 2019 event.
