UK Jewellery Awards winners decided

Following two intense days of judging last week the winners of this year’s silver anniversary edition of premium industry awards event the UK Jewellery Awards have been decided.

On May 4 and May 5 more than 30 top names from across the industry visited Retail Jeweller’s London HQ to deliberate over and discuss the shortlisted companies and cast their deciding vote on who should walk away with the industry’s top accolades on June 29.

On the morning of May 4, a panel of retailers presided over the brand and supplier categories, while in the afternoon, representatives from brands and suppliers decided on the winners of the retailer categories.

On May 5, a further panel held a series of interviews to decide the winners of the designer and new designer categories.

All voting for the eventual winners was conducted anonymously, so no one left the judging room knowing who had won, adding an extra element of mystery and excitement to the ceremony, which will take place on June 29 at the London Hilton on Park Lane.

This year’s event, held in conjunction with headline partner Clogau, marks 25 years of this prestigious industry awards and will see 19 businesses and individuals awarded in categories covering everything from design and manufacture through to brands, retailers and suppliers.

Tickets for this not-to-be-missed event are selling fast and there are many extra-special elements planned for this year’s awards to mark the 25th anniversary.
