Emily Richardson Jewellery

Emily Richardson graduated from Central St Martins in 2008 and, not long after, was selected as one of International Jewellery London’s Bright Young Gems. The Bright Young Gems initiative is renowned in the industry for unveiling future stars in the contemporary jewellery world, each year providing five young designers with an excellent commercial platform and exposure.
In 2009, Richardson was offered a place on The Goldsmiths’ Centre’s Getting Started course and has since gone on to work for a variety of big-name jewellery brands, including Gecko and Kit Heath, as well as taking on freelance design roles for the likes of Hot Diamonds, Lola Rose and Z by Accessorize.
She has now set up her own jewellery brand, with plans to secure more wholesale stockists this year. Richardson describes her eponymous brand as a “British brand creating timeless unique jewellery with a modern and effortless sense of style”.
She says her inspiration comes from cultural icons, classic films, literature, theatre and the fine arts, adding that she is particularly inspired by artists who provoke a sense of surrealism and mystique, releasing the creative potential of the unconscious mind and crafting an extraordinary imaginary world.
“I like to see my designs as characters in film, all playing their individual roles to tell a story,” she says.
