David Mellor Family Jewellers

DOB 03/07/91 Age 24

James Mellor is said to have inherited his father’s “gift of the gab”, ensuring that he has a natural flair for sales. Over the eight years since he joined the family business, Mellor has been the driving force behind the transformation of the retailer’s Eastleigh branch – so much so that, four years ago, the business invested in a relocation programme in the town.

Mellor obtained a 98% pass at a GIA diamond-grading course and plans to add further to his professional qualifications in due course. Extremely keen to keep up to date within the ever-advancing jewellery industry, Mellor closely follows the goings-on in the trade and keeps an eye on competition.

Mellor’s open, honest nature and charm has facilitated useful contacts within the trade. He is described as being “passionate about the family business and excited about the future”.
