Supplier of the Year

Winner: Brown & Newirth

Customer-focused with a great attitude, Brown & Newirth was the unanimous choice for judges when it came to choosing Supplier of the Year. As part of its training and development programme, this supplier offers in-store and workshop tours designed to engage, inform and guide customers in understanding and selling to the end-consumer. Actively involved with the rest of the industry, one judge said: “The Brown & Newirth team are all driven and passionate, and actively listen to retailers, reflecting the success and growth they have achieved in recent years.” Another judge added: “They are a great company with wonderful service, product and staff incentives.” Judges agreed that this supplier, which places customer service and innovation at its core, will continue to enjoy success.

Citizen Watch UK

One judge said that Citizen Watch UK has had positive retail feedback from end-consumers, noting the company as being very personable and helpful, despite its status as a “big brand”. The brand’s marketing initiatives over the past year were also applauded by the judging panel.

Cookson Gold

Focusing on customer service that centres on “everything for the jewellery maker, delivered the next day”, Cookson Gold’s introduction of permanent longer opening hours, a “live chat” call centre service and an improved online customer experience were all noted by the judges.

Diamond by Appointment

New for 2015, Diamond by Appointment launched its new website, which focuses on in-store and client-facing activities. Judges were impressed by the incorporation of stock holding with retailer partners via the website, using ASP.net technologies.

Hockley Mint

Hockley Mint was commended for its approach to forecasting trends and product development. Judges agreed that this supplier has a positive offering as a supplier, and were impressed by its range of designs and stone combinations. Its commitment to Fairtrade metals was also praised.

IBB Dublin

Judges agreed that IBB Dublin is setting trends in the industry with its new product offer, and were complimentary about its young, enthusiastic team. Our panel also believed that, with recent improvements to its stock system cutting delivery times, this supplier would continue to grow in popularity.
