Watch Retailer of the Year

Winner: Watchfinder

Enjoying a record-breaking year in 2014 with a reported annual turnover of £36m, this retailer is a worthy winner of Watch Retailer of the Year. Following investment, a new store opening and increased brand trust both on- and offline, judges agreed that Watchfinder’s business model should be an example to all. One judge said: “This is an innovative model.” Since last August, Watchfinder has focused on organising regular watchmaking masterclass evenings at its Royal Exchange boutique, as an experience “money can’t buy” for its customers and brand partners.

Finalists

Winsor Bishop

This long-established business hosts engaging watch-themed parties to deliver experiences for customers that set this retailer apart from its high street competitors. Winsor Bishop garnered support from the judges for its extensive watch portfolio and its active attitude towards showcasing watches.

Watches of Switzerland

Recently winning an international design award for its Regent Street store, this retailer has not only enjoyed acclaim for the flagship’s design, but has also performed well in business terms, trading well above expectations in the six months since opening.
