BBC show to find Britain’s best jeweller brings forward entry deadline following “overwhelming” response

A new BBC Two show, which is searching to find Britain’s best jeweller, has brought forward the closing date for applications following an “overwhelming” response.

Retail Jeweller initially published the news of the series and its search at the end of last month, and since then, production company Twenty Twenty, says it has received a huge number of applications.

The closing date is now Friday November 29 and, although there has been a great response already, Twenty Twenty is still encouraging both amateurs and professionals to apply.

The series will take the form of a six-part contest showcasing the skills of eight jewellers from all walks of life.

The contestants will be set challenges over each episode and these will explore the different styles and aesthetics across different types of jewellery.
