Government launches Get Ready for Brexit advertising campaign

The UK government has launched an advertising campaign urging the public and businesses to get ready for Brexit.

Kicking off last Sunday (September 1) with the launch of new website at www.gov.uk/brexit and advertisements in National newspapers, the campaign has been designed to encourage “shared responsibility” for leaving the EU on October 31.

British citizens who are intending to travel to Europe and businesses which export to the EU are among the specific groups targeted by the campaign.

The campaign encourages people and businesses to visit the government website to answer questions and receive advice on preparing for Brexit.

There is a checker on the website which gives business owners and individuals advice on what they need to do to prepare ahead of October 31.

Billboards and social media adverts for the campaign are expected to appear in the coming days and TV adverts will air later this month.
