Retail Jeweller has today unveiled the results of its first ever consumer market report in association with the Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ) and Hitachi Capital.
With the help of polling company OnePoll, Retail Jeweller surveyed a nationally representative pool of 2,000 consumers about their jewellery and watch buying habits.
The results, which span general jewellery buying, bridal and diamond jewellery and branded jewellery and watch buying, reveal some interesting trends and results.
From 67.7% of women being involved in the purchase of their own engagement ring to 40% of women saying that, when they shop for jewellery, it is for themselves, these findings all paint a picture of what motivates the modern consumer when it comes to buying jewellery and watches.
