Industry urged to be vigilant following London jewellery theft

Jewellers and pawnbrokers are urged to be on the look out following the theft of gold jewellery from a house in Archway, London.

Pieces belonging to London resident Alys Metcalf were stolen during a burglary on Saturday October 3.

Items reported missing include a distinctive heavy 18ct yellow gold necklace featuring a 24mm Sagittarius star sign (archer and arrow) pendant.

Other pieces include 22ct yellow gold filigree earrings, with a six point star shape design, a 9ct gold ball pendant with diamonds and a 9ct gold letter ‘A’ pendant.
