Editor's comment: 'The hard work starts now'

Looking back to what seems like an age ago now, on June 16, when jewellery industry history was made at Goldsmiths Hall as members of the British Jewellers’ Association (BJA) and National Association of Goldsmiths (NAG) voted a resounding ‘yes’ to the merger of the two organisations - there was a real sense of optimism in the air about what this would mean for the future of the industry.
