Shop vacancy rates decline despite a drop in footfall

The national town centre shop vacancy rate in Britain in October was 9.5%, down from the 10.1% recorded in July 2016, and this is in spite of a decline in high street footfall recorded in October down by 0.4% compared to the same month the prior year.
