Diamnet proves popular with retailers at IJL

Online diamond trading platform Diamnet has reported a busy International Jewellery London trade show, which closed its doors on Tuesday (September 3).

Launched in August 2018, Diamnet provides retailers with a live wholesale diamond list made up of stones from leading dealers and cutters in UK, Antwerp, Israel and India.

The free, online service for retailers, enables them to source specific stones and compare quotes at the click of a button. In many cases the stones can be supplied and delivered directly to the retailer within 48 hours. Retailers can then order the loose stone or a fully finished ring from one of the many UK mount manufacturers with which Diamnet works.

Howard Levine, director of Diamnet, said the online platform hit a chord with retailers at IJL this year as its booth was busy from the start of the show until the very end, each and every day.

Levine explained: “I could not get off the booth to even buy lunch - and we were opposite the café.”

Diamnet has already signed 19 retailers to its online diamond showroom platform with the first site going live in the next couple of weeks.

“We are putting bricks and mortar retailers on the internet, selling diamonds and helping them to fight back against the online giants,” added Levine.
