Welsh Jewellery brand Clogau has unveiled details of its new ranges for spring/summer 16, which it is set to debut at the forthcoming Jewellery & Watch show.
The new lines span six separate collections and each has its own distinct identity and story, which are detailed below.
Catalina Designed to capture the beauty and vibrancy of the fruit with glowing garnets, the Catalina collection is inspired by the pomegranate featured in Catherine of Aragon’s coat of Arms, accepted upon her marriage to King Henry VIII.
Preseli Bluestone Preseli Bluestones are the stones used in building Stonehenge 5,000 years ago and are only found in the Preseli Hills in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. The stones are said to possess healing and magical powers.
Firebird The Firebird collection is inspired by a story of magic and love. The ballet on which the collection is based tells the story of Prince Ivan’s journey to win the heart of his princess with the help of the magical Firebird. Set with diamond and sapphire, the collection expresses the graceful elegance of the Firebird and features some stunning statement pieces.
Moonlight Rose Inspired by the lightness and delicacy of the moonlight and the petals of the rose – the flower said to epitomise love and beauty – this collection is set with iridescent white topaz.
Bamboo Interpreting the graceful form of the bamboo, this contemporary design with its elegant, organic feel provides striking pieces of jewellery, perfect for a unique accessory to complete any outfit.
Venus The Venus collection is inspired by the roman goddess of love and features yellow gold and sparkling diamonds. As with all Clogau pieces, Venus also contains rare welsh gold.
