French fashion house Hermès has released its latest watch designs at trade event Baselworld, which is currently taking place in Switzerland.
The new Slim d’Hermès L’Heure Impatiente design follows on from the French brand’s previous watches, the Arceau Temps Suspendu and the Dressage L’Heure Masquée timepieces as the third pillar of the ‘Hermès Time’ collection.
In addition, the brand also unveiled its new Cape Cod Shadow, based on Henri d’Origny’s 1991 design. The timepiece is the first all-black watch from the house. With its ‘square inside a rectangle’ design, the watch features a black DLC-treated case, a matt black dial and red burnishing of the strap edges.
The brand’s hero piece for 2017 is novelty design the Slim d’Hermès Grrrrr!, comprising a miniature enamel painted dial carrying a silk scarf motif designed by artist Alice Shirley. Set on a white gold base, all the enamel detailing uses the miniature painting technique. The round 39.5mm diameter watch contrasts with the burgundy alligator strap.
