Calvin Klein Watches and Jewelry reports successful 2017

minimal saga3

Major fashion label Calvin Klein has reported significant success during 2017 for its watches and jewellery division, with many jewellers commenting that product is proving a hit with consumers.

The brand, which is distributed under licence by Swatch Group, added more than 20 new stockists during the 2017 year, taking the total number of wholesale accounts in the UK to around 300.

Commenting on the success of the collections in-store, director of Gorgeous Jewels in Felixstowe Paul Harris-Magri said: “We have been selling Calvin Klein for a year at Gorgeous Jewels in Felixstowe and it’s attracted many customers with its unique designs suitable for all occasions.

“Sales have been so successful that we have no doubt it will be a best-selling brand when implemented into our other stores.”

Director of six-store jewellery chain Grace & Co Lorna McQuillan added: “Calvin Klein is a great brand to work with. The range offers something a little bit different, which our customers love. It is stylish but at a really good price point. The POS and packaging help maximise the brand’s potential in-store and, as a company, they are really supportive and helpful.”

Calvin Klein appointed Belgian fashion designer Raf Simons as its chief creative officer in August 2016, with his first collections debuting for the AW17 season.

UK brand manager for Calvin Klein Watches & Jewelry Grant Murdoch believes that Simons’ appointment has had a positive impact this year. “We have seen a strong and positive response from the Raf Simons effect in 2017 and are confident that this will escalate with the new collections for 2018,” he explained.
