The transition from day into night

I decided to do the Tateossian project as I worked with Folli Follie on a jewellery project last year, and really enjoyed the challenge of designing a commercial, sellable product. I am designing for women, and trying to bring a real element of fun into the women’s jewellery, which a lot of the men’s already has.

My concept is work and play, a collection of changeable jewellery which can easily go from day to night for the busy working woman. It is a kind of alternative charm collection, where you can purchase different inserts into the jewellery, so you can always have a different look and never get bored of your jewellery.

The commercial constraints can sometimes prove difficult and I find myself having to reign it in at times, but that is all part of the challenge. After the last meeting with Robert Tateossian, I need to work more on the best way of making the inserts working smoothly and practically for a satisfying outcome.

I am excited about my work and really look forward to showing Robert my final technical drawings and paint-ups.
