Tough decisions for the UKJA judges

Yesterday our hardworking panels selected the winners for Multiple Retailer, Independent Retailer and Etailer, as well as Italian Jewellery Designer, Platinum Bridal Collection and Catwalk Collection. We had some real fun trying on all the pieces from the latter I can tell you.

It’s the first time many of the judges and I have worn crowns, head pieces, sparkly girdles and breast plates. Some of the pieces we’ve seen for these categories have been amazing - the craftmanship and engineering skills are exceptional.

The afternoon session comprised retail judging, and it was equally tough finding the winners in these categories too. The judges worked hard to come up with a winner in each though, so my thanks to them.

Today we are onto the Business Initiative and New Designer categories, and looking forward to some really hard-fought competition in these categories too.

Don’t try and bribe me to find out the winners though. My lips are sealed until July 15. If you haven’t bought tickets to our event at the Grosvenor yet, which promises to be the biggest party in the industry, then head to ukjewelleryawards.co.uk. See you in July.
